In 2020, conversations with our state partners about expanding service culminated in the release of our Amtrak Connects US Corridor Vision. One year later, Congress passed the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law with $66 billion for passenger and freight rail improvements.

Now we’re ready to support states in the Federal Railroad Administration’s Corridor Identification & Development Program- to advance new and enhanced passenger rail corridors across the country!

As the third most populous state in the nation, Florida must embrace new forms of public transportation for the 21st century.

But by planning decisively right now, we can offer Ohioans new solutions like passenger rail that meet the coming challenges of the next 30 years.

The Texas Department of Transportation made an official request last week to the Federal Railroad Administration for funding to expand service for travelers between the state’s largest cities and beyond.

For the first time in more than a quarter century, momentum for train lines in Western U.S. states may be on the fast track.

Amtrak’s Corridor Vision

Released in 2021, the Amtrak Connects US Corridor Vision presented a comprehensive plan for developing and expanding our nation’s transportation infrastructure to enhance mobility, drive economic growth, and reduce emissions in communities across the United States.
